Happy August!

what August means to me:

~an end to summer relaxin
~the beginning of college
~storms
~more birthdays
~goodbyes
~hellos
~10 months till 3rd HP movie
~less internet time
~spending money

can't think of anymore at the moment. had work today. one of the coworkers was at the end of her shift and was like "ok i got fired bye...*leaves*". what?! jan and i were in shock. was she serious?? we spent a minute starin at each other confused. jan tried to ask why she was fired but she just left. i thought maybe she was just joking cuz she never seemed to do anything wrong nor would the boss do such a thing. but then he comes by the kitchen to leave a memo for everyone to read. it confirmed that she had in fact been sacked! i couldn't believe it. why? then i thought she had to get one of those two week notice deals rite? that's so bad. i hope it wasn't sprung on her. it also talked about how another person was no longer going to work in the office. what was happening?! of course the memo doesn't say "the following people have been fired and replaced by these people..." but says "will be missed". that is so strange. it's beyond comprehension for me at the moment.
