whoops
okay... so it's now September 12th. my time to formulate my opinion on September 11th is past due.
but i'll say something now anyway.
i thought about what i said about it last year in blog. i didn't have one then. so here's my first entry on it.
yes we should never forget what happened that day. in new york, washington d.c., and pennsylvania. i remember that night it happened, i was afraid osama bin laden would smash through my window. dude that's scary isn't it?! sure it's unlikely NOW... i think 9/11/01 has been dubbed "Patriot's Day" or some holiday as such. whatever. kinda sad that we have to make a holiday to help us remember. but that's how america does it. if it wasn't a foreign nation that hijacked those planes then we wouldn't make such a big deal ( i.e. create a holiday). but it was a big deal to try to comprehend the fact that the strongest nation in the world (or so we're told.... eh.. i think we are) could suddenly become so vulnerable to a choreographed middle eastern team armed with... cardboard box cutters? and this whole Homeland Security thing seems so complicated. what exactly are they doing? the terrorist threat level has been raised to ORANGE?! no!! oh now it's yellow? okay that's good. yellow orange red.... i like colors. it's a comforting thing for some people to hear what color our level is in. but i digress.
it's important to remember this day. more important to remember how America pulled through it. whether we remember with dressing up or not.
