oh! i haven't mentioned my turtle encounter! i was walking on the "boardwalk" on campus past the "lake" when i saw it.... this huge softshell turtle! it was at least....2 feet long! it was kinda far away but oh yes, i saw it. fortunately i had a camera and snapped a shot. it was on the grass basking in the sun. then i walk to the edge of the boardwalk to get a teeny bit closer. but i guess it spotted me cuz it turned around SO FAST and bellyflopped back into the water! haha. it left a lot of ripples. yay turtle! made me happy :)
