Goodbye June

Hello July!!

Okay I meant to post yesterday, but I had a writer's block and didn't feel like going on last night (woohoo!).

Yesterday marked FOUR years since I moved from Cali. That's amazing! Time has flown, altho not that swiftly, and things have changed since then. I'm not saying it seemed so long ago, cuz it really doesn't, and somewhere along the line we (my sister and I) have confused our Illinois dates. haha that's quite odd, it was only a little over a year there, but I suspect we think it seemed much more.

Meanwhile, SONYA has also left! I don't know if it was tuesday or yesterday (like me). Haha the end of June seems like a good moving time. She probably won't read this until her computer is up or until she finds that library with the internet again, but I wish her a safe voyage! I don't know about advice I'd give for moving. She seems quite capable of adjusting to new environments. I do remember experiencing culture shock and going from CA to NC must be a huge difference. Suddenly I realized all of the teeny details and comforts that I took for granted. Consequently, I seem to be too detail-oriented and notice everything different/similar from states. But that is probably just me.

Moving is probably a mixed blessing. I didn't want to move at all when I did...it's just not normal! :p The transition from IL to FL was much easier for me, even though I still thought moving at that time was not normal either. For Tiff it was okay, she graduated elem school to go onto to middle. I was stuck in high school chaos, hopeful to find somewhere to fit in and discovering that it would be better to make an identity of my own (because I didn't really fit anywhere...or I didn't think so). Now, it's my second year of college and I have friends ALL over the place. It's great! Sometimes I just wish they were all more accessible lol. I would really hate to move again. really. I've got a lot going for me right now, I've got plans darnit!! I have plans for next November ('05. haha gee I wonder what it could be), I've been elected the 2004-2005 Conference Chair for SWE (hooray!), I'm going to a Cher concert this September, I HAVE A COLLEGE CAREER TO COMPLETE. Out-of-state tuition is outrageous, there is no reason for me to go anywhere.

oh I think I've said too much.
