So. my first day. it was great!

didn't feel like socializing yet. meh. still in the observation stage. people i saw: Billy. he was apparently in my algebra class but i didn't see him. how could i in an auditorium of 400? he later saw me again at lunch. and Kate. i just sat down to eat my "caribbean cheeseburger" when she walked by. i tried to call her but she didn't hear and i'm so paranoid about leaving my stuff unattended cuz i brought my laptop. i saw a couple more people i recognized from AHS but i don't think they'd recognize me. sociology class and geography class let us out about 30min early. the socio prof was very, in his own words, "peppy" today. and since i've already talked about it, here's more of what happened via my convo with stace:

me (10:46:51 PM): the teachers seem cool so far... my last class for the day was amusing
her (10:46:57 PM): how so?
me (10:48:02 PM): it was physical geography and i expected some another spunky guy like the socio teacher...
me (10:49:45 PM): and i dont want to sound mean but when he came in i thought oo he's old like the rock formations! yeah i kno that's bad. when he talks he has really big pauses in between. "and usually about 90% of you wait till the last minute *joke* ..................... long pause............. do you get what i'm trying to say here?"
her10:50:53 PM): hehe
me (10:52:22 PM): he's funny just not, uh quick about it. and he let us out early cuz we hardly reacting to him at all. "how many have your books? well.......... the bookstore would like to see you ........... so go leave, yeah that woke up a lot of you"
her(10:52:43 PM): lol
me (10:52:56 PM): we were there for like 20minutes haha
her (10:53:32 PM): lol that's great

i wanted to laugh because of the awkward silences between his thoughts but that would be rude. i let those guys do it for me. poor him. i really hope he isn't that slow when class really gets going. he did interest me with our future field trip to the forest tho :D.

anyway as i have mentioned at least 3 times before, after my first class, algebra, i have this huge 4 hour break. i went to Millican Hall to turn in a check for tuition and stuff. found out the scholarship money had been calculated wrong so i have to get another check. went to the bookstore/cafe for an hour. played with computer. i couldn't get a good signal to go online tho. bad form i do say. then i WAS going to eat in the student union but i heard this loud spanish music playing and i decided to check out the small stand. "caribbean cheeseburger" eh..... it was actually good. walked thru student union, guy passed me a flyer. apparently he wanted to engage in some conversation with me "go to church around here?". i was a bit thrown off so i quickly blurted "sure" and continued to walk. he was probably just selling me his club but i could've stayed around to chat.... i definitely wasn't in the mindset to engage in conversations today lol. maybe tomorrow.

first day was great. first class at 8:30. left house at 6:30. got there at 7:20. well... i can probably leave a *tad* later. hee hee. tomorrow my first class is at 1:30. so i'm leaving between 8-9 haha. all i heard from people today was how hard it was to find parking, and i had no problem, but i'll probably be in that situation tomorrow.
