Naked Turtle

To drop my shell for but a brief moment of the day

Sunday is such a good day for...

a picnic.

don't ya think??

I went to SWE's Fall picnic at UCF which was a grand time. I brought 2 pumpkin pies with whipped cream, but none of them were eaten... that's okay, at least they used some of the whipped cream! This was a thanksgiving style picnic, so there was the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, corn, veggies, salad, beets, stuffing.... YUM ugh it was so good!! mmm... then we had a coloring contest for the most creative looking turkey. mine was a bit boring at first, so i changed it to a SUPER TURKEY ("too strong and colorful to eat!") and sketched his sidekick PURPLE TURTLE ("his pigmentation fooled all of the turtle farms!"). lol. my friend, Zena, made her turkey a Santa-theme. the best theme was one girl's who had the I Love SWE theme (of course), and best colored (?) i guess was Jonnie! hooray. they won gift cards.

after that, we played beach volleyball. it was very casual so it was fun! i only got whacked with the ball once. haha. it was funny, AliceSun (that's how her name is really spelled) serves it so low that the first time it just hit me near my shoulders. the second time i just didn't know how to hit it and it smacked me in the chest. lol. for more dramatic effect, my hat flew off! everyone was watching at that time and it was SO funny. it was fun playing volleyball again! last time i played was... personal fitness for summer school before senior year. much harder to move around in the sand tho. i dunno who won the game, i think we kept score until it was 2 to 3. lol. and we played much longer than that.

GREASE was a good production! i was 16 rows away! the acting was great, the only downsides were the sounds and the flow of transition was choppy. Joey's mike kept cutting off and the backstage people didn't seem like they knew when to put curtain up or down/when to add sounds. BUTT it was opening night so i spose it's understandable. They sang songs i didn't recognize from the movie. maybe they're just performed on stage, or just for this production. I was surprised they didn't do that very last song from the movie! You know the one that goes "I got chills, they're multiplying, and i'm losing control..." actually... i think they sang part of it... now i'm confused. but they sang this other song called All Shaken UP? something like that. but i still had a good time! The best part was when Alfonso (teen angel) came "flying" down towards the stage with all the girls flapping feathers around him when he sang. :) great cameo. after the show i met Joe Fatone (joey's dad) and bought a shirt. Jeff Conaway was signing autographs but my dad didn't want to wait in line so we just took a picture of him signing. oh yeah and i was standng in it too. :P
