hey everyone. *sniffle*
moving on, let me discuss my new classes!
speech- prof seems cool, he only wants to be addressed on a first name basis. we only have 3 speeches to do. first day he was trying to trick people by calling the class different names and asking if we had his required course package. we only needed a book. one guy came in late and he was like "you here for comp 3020 technical writing?" "uhh yeah *nods head*" "oh sorry you're in the wrong class because this is spc 1016..." "oh no! that's the one! yeah". heehee
microeconomics- i have this class one day a week so it's almost 3 hours long. it's my only lecture class this semester and he seems alrite. he writes down everything he says so our notes are good lol. seems easy but i dont wanna say he is.
world civilizationsII- i took the sequence out of order (just cuz i guess). this prof seems really interesting. he's from Nigeria, and altho he's lived in the US for 27yrs he still has a thick accent. he also lived in england and he's been in college for 14 years. in about 5 different colleges. he refuses to tell us his age lol. he still looks young but he's at least late 30s i'd say. he's also intimidating because he's been told to tone down his lectures because they were so complex. :S yesterday we spent the last half of class merely going over 3 definitions and that took a long time. he emphasizes having fun in class which included class participation and that makes it all the more intimidating.
"ontology- the study of beingnessness"
i think i found my new interesting prof to quote. he went on to say it ment "i think therefore i am". really interesting. he would ask students what they think the def. was and they'd be "wrong" or "very close but not quite". usually a prof would go on and tell us but he'd wait until there isn't anyone else willing to raise their hand.
english comp II- aha, the beloved writing class.my only female prof, she said as long as we turn the work in and come to class, we should get an A or B! woohoo. she said she even finds it easier than comp I. i find that comforting.
trigonometry- boorrriinngg... seems like a grad student. it would probably be more appealing if it wasn't at 6pm and if he taught better. like without monotone. hopefully he'll fix that.
