Hurrah for Hamm!
Man I can't tell ya how annoying this whole Gold Medal controversy is to me! Why can't the Koreans accept that they CAN'T automatically ASSUME that they would have won gold because of the one-tenth oopsie. I mean yes the judges really, terribly, horribly screwed up. But they still had the floor exercise after the high bar routine, and WHO KNOWS if the scores would've been the same?! answer: Nobody would know! This article about the head guy passing the buck is just maddening. How dare he!!! Hamm can't help it if he won, he didn't ask to have gold, he was happy with any sort of medal. But to come from behind and then try to strip him of his glory of it is just so.... it's just stupid! The Koreans need to back off and be happy with the bronze (and silver since his teammate won that) because it was THEIR fault they didn't appeal during the competition. How can people be arguing to play by the rules if they're not even following it themselves! argh!! ARGH! I feel so bad for Hamm, he had to be stuck in the middle of this. I hope he sticks by his guns and doesn't give it up because he has every right for it. So I think we should still cheer for his victory and his stance to keep the gold. It's too bad people might think of him as less of an athlete because it's really all the JUDGES' fault. and no one else.
