The End for a New Beginning

^^^
for all you people who haven't discovered it yet:)

Today is the 10th month anniversary of my blog! wow, who knew it'd last this long? I was actually hoping i'd be sticking this out for at least a year. It has chronicled my life from Spring Break 2003 to now and I'm proud of it.

so there's this other journal.

Now that I've discovered how to do all the neato stuff, I feel like I don't, dare I say, need this one anymore...

I'm still keeping this for my archives , and I have all of these links on here to which I will still be using too. But I don't know if I'll update on it anymore. I thought about splitting up my posts somehow, but i've tried that with another journal before, and it absolutely did not work. A month or two down the line I might find another use for it or come back to it. You know, in case live journal explodes.

unetortue, you have treated me well

thanks for the memories.

Why turtle?

last night I went with Kate and her brother to Amanda's house. it was a lovely time. we arrived in time to see a bit of the American President? uh... the one where Michael Douglas is the pres. I met her parents who seem quite nice and her short stubby-legged dachsand (ooo that doesn't look right.. s/p) Tessa. she was so cute! she doesn't jump off of the chair or bed, she LEAPS. hee hee. like she's diving off of a cliff. we watched Play It Again, Sam which stars Woody Allen. it is apparently one amanda's fav movies that kate got her for christmas and neither of us had seen it. Amanda's boyfriend was also there. i felt a bit under the weather which sucked cuz it made me tired... but i stuck it thru. they created smores from the magical machine called the microwave. hee hee. kate had a cookie in hers =-o. after the movie we went to amanda's room and watched Chicago. the movie wasn't new to me, but her waterbed was. yeah that was interesting lol. all 5 of us on there, plus the dog! it got warm really fast, even tho there was a heater somewhere there. one move threw off the whole balance.

anyway...

we left after the Mister Cellophane number. it was getting close to midnight. john was supposedly leaving and amanda went to say goodbye but she hadn't come back in awhile. we saw they were still in his car... ANYway... hee hee. a good hangout.

9.1.04

hee hee.

i got a livejournal.

8.1.04

Okay so maybe a monsoon didn't happen...

... but almost everything else did!!

LoL need i say more? what you mean yes?!

i've spent about the last two hours sitting here, avoiding writing a long post. but... i leave me no choice.

wow i have a feeling i'll forget stuff so forgive me, there was a lot.

*tries to recall*

have u noticed i am still able to procrastinate just by typing more and more?

hee hee. on to the beginning:

We were supposed to meet at 7:15, my house (for those of you who weren't up to date on that via our random lj notes on each other's journals). so 7:22 rolls around and i'm still like "Yep! ANY minute now!" i was about to call one of them when my sister hears a door close and i see a figure walk towards the door.

it's... molly?

Molly beat stacy?! wow! she was like "is this the right day??" haha. "where's stacy?" "she's not here yet!" after a minute or two molly logs on to her livejournal to see if stacy had left any notes regarding our outing. just as she was reading some new comments, stacy comes in! yay! i dont know what time that was, sorry. she was showing off her styling tie. she seemed disappointed that molly arrived before her. hee hee. so as we were about to leave, molly wanted the pic of the three of us. how quaint.

"whose car?" molly asks
"stacy's." i say quite confidently.

i think we were both staring at her before i responded though. lol. btw, stacy was wearing her cool statement tie!yay! then we get to the car. molly calls "SHOTGUN!". okay, fine with me. she gets in the car and sits down. seeing as it is only a two door car i am just standing there like uhh i need to go in too? haha. we go down about half a mile, then molly realizes she forgot something (i didn't hear what it was). so jacq turns into a street and does a MAD U-turn! yeah, that was so not smooth. and we go back home. and then we go back towards Osaka's. molly was thoroughly enjoying the heated seats on that fine 45-47 degree weather. on the way we mostly talked about a lot of random college stuff. or mostly friends. particularly molly's friends/roommates. LotR better than Harry Potter? goodness No.

we get off the exit of I-4 and we were talking about something so we weren't paying attention to the signs. apparently right after we pass the street, jacq announces she has no idea where she's going. lol. we drove farther... stacy talked about how things get lost (like wal*mart). you don't get lost, the thing you're trying to get to is lost. :p .

somewhere inbetween molly does the lion dance. lol. we get there

"hibachi or sushi bar?"
*stares blankly and waits until molly answers*
"hibachi"

then we get that waitress who i remember was not particularly cheerful last time i went with molly (she told us to move seats last time). this time we were not ready to order so we moved to a new table lol. we discovered the tables grown since our move from this to that table. conveniently placed behind us were 3 phonebooks that we used as booster seats. haha we had this whole ongoing theme like we were still little kids/non-college students. whether it was the dramas, our topics of interest, or our behavior at the restaurant. anyway, molly asks something like "we should have a show." and me, completely misunderstanding, ask "and what kind of show would that be, molly?" haha OF COURSE she means those shows when the chef cooks in front of you!!

it was THE MOST HILARIOUS thing that night.

hilarious by random bursts of laughter between the chef's cooking and whatnot. he kept asking if we were okay. especially me... but he was being rude to stacy. and okay, he was referring to ALL of us as "baby" was he not? yeah i didn't like that. while we were ordering one of us came across the Dancing Eel Roll. dancing eel roll huh? what does that look like? we were anticipatingly waiting for a dancing eel to come during the "show". molly enthusiastically clapped after every "performance". he'd mess around with stacy by giving her a lot of veggies and such. but... no eel! to much of our disappointment. but i DID like the onion volcano.

somewhere inbetween molly also had the dancing eel impression and uh celebration dance? haha.

the food was good as always, sushi good as well. darnitstubbornstacypretendingnottolikethesushiandonlyeatingone! hee hee. unless i am mistaken. but C'MON you know it was gooood. molly seems quite the chopstick expert now. we both got boxes for our food. molly used a mini box for the white sauce.

we walked to the car, my hands in pockets, finally molly realizes...i forgot my boxes! so i went back. oh yes, i went back alrite. they put it on the counter for me. i waited outside so stacy and molly could drive up to the curb and i would quietly enter into the vehicle. what happens then? well she drives the car right up to me, headlights in my eyes, and BLARES the horn really loud. the door opens and suddenly molly is running out with her white sauce box going aahh its leaking! we had to dispose of that box. :( it was either it or her. the ride back was good too. less energy, and full tummys. just like how the end of this entry is turning out... Something Corporate music, depressing Something Corporate music, yay! hey! yay? hey! no yay? no.., finger to marker fascinations, my non-denominational christmas card. that starfish was SO being beamed up to the mothership! or there was some communication to do so... and yes molly there is a turtle on that card! haha.

gosh i had such a fun time!! it should definitely be a tradition during vacations :D.

7.1.04

hey everyone. *sniffle*

moving on, let me discuss my new classes!

speech- prof seems cool, he only wants to be addressed on a first name basis. we only have 3 speeches to do. first day he was trying to trick people by calling the class different names and asking if we had his required course package. we only needed a book. one guy came in late and he was like "you here for comp 3020 technical writing?" "uhh yeah *nods head*" "oh sorry you're in the wrong class because this is spc 1016..." "oh no! that's the one! yeah". heehee

microeconomics- i have this class one day a week so it's almost 3 hours long. it's my only lecture class this semester and he seems alrite. he writes down everything he says so our notes are good lol. seems easy but i dont wanna say he is.

world civilizationsII- i took the sequence out of order (just cuz i guess). this prof seems really interesting. he's from Nigeria, and altho he's lived in the US for 27yrs he still has a thick accent. he also lived in england and he's been in college for 14 years. in about 5 different colleges. he refuses to tell us his age lol. he still looks young but he's at least late 30s i'd say. he's also intimidating because he's been told to tone down his lectures because they were so complex. :S yesterday we spent the last half of class merely going over 3 definitions and that took a long time. he emphasizes having fun in class which included class participation and that makes it all the more intimidating.

"ontology- the study of beingnessness"

i think i found my new interesting prof to quote. he went on to say it ment "i think therefore i am". really interesting. he would ask students what they think the def. was and they'd be "wrong" or "very close but not quite". usually a prof would go on and tell us but he'd wait until there isn't anyone else willing to raise their hand.

english comp II- aha, the beloved writing class.my only female prof, she said as long as we turn the work in and come to class, we should get an A or B! woohoo. she said she even finds it easier than comp I. i find that comforting.

trigonometry- boorrriinngg... seems like a grad student. it would probably be more appealing if it wasn't at 6pm and if he taught better. like without monotone. hopefully he'll fix that.

lol thanks for doing the survey sonya :D

oh yeah, and i'm looking forward to osaka tonite! are there monsoons forecasted? if not i certainly expect something just as entertaining. :P

4.1.04

my GOSH tomorrow's the 5th already?? well i dunno about you, but i gots me some college starting up again! didn't go out shopping for supplies yet again so i am going tomorrow morning to everyone's favorite Wal*Mart before i drive out to UCF. and i can do this because my first class doesn't start until 4:30! yay? this semester definitely's going to be different. i dont have a friday class, monday starts at 4:30, tues and thursday i have a FIVE HOUR gap, wed i only have my 4:30 class. sheesh. well I picked it so I better enjoy it!

but i'm excited about new classes. first one went too fast.

i would like to make some friends that i might potentially do stuff with. beside chat in class and study groups. altho that is rather fun. would be even nicer if i had some people that i know in these classes. but i have no idea....

moving on... it's 2004! yay! i didn't even do a HAPPY NEW YEAR post? wow. well a new year's eve post is close? i thought the bckgd pic was kind of cool when i saw it. the site i found it on says its a pic of n.y.e. in 1939! wow. u can hardly see anyone. and everyone knows the other pic is of THE BALL in new york. i planned on doing some big huge colorful different layout on 1/1/04 to contrast this one, but whoops! missed the boat on that one. maybe i'll do it tuesday when i have nothing to do at school.

what else? new year's eve i went to Nicole's house because i had (finally) called her to see how she was and she said she had a present for me! i went over to her house, her new extension for the house all finished, and i was greeted with a belated christmas present stapled together! hee hee. it was a talking sea turtle! no not a real one... those toy stuffed ones w/e u wanna call it. Thanks Nicole! at least i sent her a card...

oh yeah and that day i also got a christmas card from Katrina! it was really strange because it was sent on the 22nd. NINE days to get here?! whoa. mail musta been REAL snail.

k, now i'm gonna work on those surveys *evil laughter*

p.s.

qui est hjui?? another stalker? oh okay just stay over there with the rest of them.
